Training & Ongoing Support
You don’t need to know a swing gate from a slide gate on day one. What you need is the discipline to show up, price honestly, and stand behind your work. We teach the trade, the systems, and the standard. Carver Gate Repair has been building owners since 2008, and our training turns motivated operators into gate repair professionals who run clean, profitable shops.
Initial Training
Week one through launch is four weeks at our training facility, then two weeks in the field with a veteran operator. Here’s how it breaks down.
Operations and The Garrison Standard. We start with the code that runs every location. Show up inside the window we gave. Price in writing before any work starts. Do it by the book, the first time. Leave the site clean and squared away. Stand behind the work for a full year. These aren’t suggestions. They’re the operating system, and every owner memorizes them before touching a tool.
The trade itself. We teach gate types, motor brands, and failure patterns. You’ll work on LiftMaster, FAAC, BFT, Linear, Viking, Ghost Controls, DoorKing, Elite, and Mighty Mule equipment hands-on. Swing gates, slide gates, barrier arms, access control loops, safety edges, photocells. You’ll learn to diagnose a failed limit switch, program a new remote, and reset an operator that took a lightning hit. We explain the real words, then we explain them in plain language so you can talk to a homeowner without talking down to them.
Software and scheduling. Our platform handles dispatch, invoicing, and the customer record. You’ll learn to book a job, route a technician, and close out a repair with the written guarantee attached.
Hiring and field team management. Background checks, uniform standards, vehicle setup, and the discipline of a crew that represents your name and ours.
Local marketing setup. We build your launch campaign while you’re in training, so your phone rings the week you open.
Launch Support
The gap between “trained” and “open for business” is where franchises often stumble. We don’t let that happen.
Your local marketing goes live before your first truck rolls. We set up your lead engine, target your service territory, and tune your digital presence to the neighborhoods you’ll actually serve. No spray-and-pray. Every lead is in your zip codes.
Your first jobs are coached live. A field advisor rides with you or shadows remotely, depending on the work. They watch how you price, how you explain the repair, how you handle the customer who asks “are you sure that’s what it needs?” We correct in real time, not in a quarterly review six months later when bad habits have hardened.
Your pricing playbook is calibrated to your market, not a national average. You’ll know what a spring replacement runs in your city, what a new operator installation should yield, and where the margins live on access control add-ons.
Ongoing Support
- Field coaching and ride-alongs. Regular visits from operations advisors who check your trucks, review your jobs, and spot the small slips before they become expensive problems.
- Marketing performance and lead cost management. Monthly reviews of your cost per lead, booking rate, and revenue by source. We adjust spend and messaging to keep your calendar full without waste.
- Vendor relationships and parts pricing. National buying power on motors, controls, and hardware. You get the right parts at the right price, with warranty support behind them.
- Technology updates and platform training. Software improvements roll out to every location. You’re never running on an outdated system while competitors speed past.
- National brand campaigns. Carver Gate Repair builds awareness that feeds every local shop. The Garrison Standard is the message, and it works in every market we enter.
- Peer network of owner-operators. Monthly calls, annual conference, and a private channel where owners share what works and warn each other about what doesn’t.
You’re Never Alone
Carver is a craftsman’s name. We chose it because this work rewards people who measure twice, cut once, and care that the gate opens and closes every time. If that sounds like you, call (469) 530-2485 or request info below. We’ll walk you through the numbers, the territory, and what it takes to open your doors.
